Club Resource Group LEED: About

Club Resource Group is committed to sustainable design practices and believes in using green products to create healthy buildings while minimizing the impact on the environment. We believe everyone involved in the building process should take an active role in implementing responsible consumption practices and advance sustainable building practices wherever possible. We are dedicated to protecting the environment and the health and safety of our employees as well as the planet’s.

Club Resource Group is further committed to helping its customers to help achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and other standards issued by the US Green Building Council. Look for the “X” symbol on our site. Wherever you see it you’ll know the product contains criteria needed to achieve LEED certification. Mondo Rubber Flooring

Products including Mondo Carpet and MondoTurf are low maintenance, easy to recycle for applications such as highway construction, flooring and landscaping and compliant with the California Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) section 01350. They are free of PVC, halogen, CFCs, plasticizers, chlorine, heavy metals, asbestos and alloyed chemicals, and make excellent alternatives to products made from PVC and polycarbonate. Inherently antibacterial, Mondo’s flooring does not require the addition of synthetic components that are both toxic and environmentally harmful. They release almost no fumes (off-gassing) or VOCs (VOC compliance ASTM D 5116). Mondo's MP 500 non-toxic, water-based acrylic adhesive falls well below VOC limits. All Mondo adhesives meet SCAQMD regulations of content for VOCs. Mondo's products contribute to numerous LEED points including:

Materials and Resources

  • Credit 4.1—Recycled content: 5%
  • Credit 4.2—Recycled content: 10%
  • Credit 5.1—Regional materials
  • Credit 6 —Rapidly renewable materials

Indoor Environmental Quality

  • Credit 4.1—Low-emitting materials: adhesives and sealants

Dodge-Regupol Rolled Rubber Floor

Dodge-Regupol, Inc. has earned ISO 9001:2000 Registration from QMI™ Management Systems Registration for the following products.

Everlast Rubber Floors

Meets or exceeds two of six criteria for LEED NC, and can assist in gaining up to seven points towards LEED Certification in the following areas:

  • Materials & Resources Construction Waste Management MR 2.11
Recycle and/or salvage at least 50% of non-hazardous construction and demolition debris. Develop and implement a construction waste management plan that, minimally, identifies materials to be diverted from disposal and if that waste well be sorted on-site or commingled. Calculations can be done by weight or volume, but must be consistent throughout.
  • Construction Waste Management MR 2.2 1
Recycle and salvage an additional 25% beyond MR 2.1 (75% total) of non-hazardous construction and demolition debris.
  • Recycled Content MR 4.1 1
Uses materials with recycled content so that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one half (the value of) the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% of the total value of the project’s materials.
  • Recycled Content MR 4.2 1
Uses materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one half (the value of) the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 20% of the total value of the project’s materials.
  • Local/Regional Materials MR 5.1 1
Uses building materials or products extracted, harvested or recovered, as well as manufactured, within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10 % (based on cost) of the total material value. If only a fraction of a product or material is extracted/harvested/recovered and manufactured locally, then only that percentage (by weight) shall contribute to regional value.
  • Local/Regional MR 5.2 1
Same as MR 5.1 1 but with a minimum of 20% of the total material value.
  • Indoor Environmental Quality Low-Emitting Materials EQ 4.1 1
Adhesives and sealants must be lower than the current VOC content limits of South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule #1168.
EVERLAST Performance Flooring is comprised of shredded and cleaned SBR tire rubber (100% post-consumer waste)and colorful EPDM flecks (30% pre-consumer waste). The result—a polymerically bound floor with very high-recycled content. Note that color choice determines the percentage of recycled content (varies between 70.3% to 90.63%). EGrip glue is a low VOC 50% lower VOC than the most demanding US standard (SCAQMD Rule #1168).

Green Organizations

Club Resource Group supports the standards of the following green governing bodies:

US Green Building Council (USGBC)

Established in 1993, the USGBC manages the LEED Green Building Rating System, oversees local chapters and developed the LEED accreditation exam (outsourced) in 2001.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

LEED membership is accredited by USGBC, and develops benchmarks by which green buildings are rated. It also reviews materials and third party certifiers for green materials designs.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSR)

This non-profit certification group accredits landowners and organizations that conscientiously thin (not deplete) forests.

Green Seal

A non-profit certification group that promotes manufacture and use of environmentally conscientious products like cleansers, soaps and paints. Green Seal has established a cleaning service standard and is a big proponent of recycled materials.

South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD)

Regulates standards of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in Southern California.
